Our clients find that Pilates can change their lives. Read what some of them have to say about the method.
Riding well takes core strength, flexibility
and body awareness. Pilates has helped me to understand, control and
strengthen
my core muscles.
It has also helped me to use my arms and legs more independently and
to maximize the effectiveness of my aids. I recommend
Pilates for anyone who is serious about their sport or using their body
more effectively. |

Before Pilates my back was a sea of pain, with weak muscles and noticeable atrophy. I have gained so much strength, muscle shape and tone that now I have returned to my favorite sport of running—something I had to give up six years ago. Back pain is all but gone, too!
2007 placings- 5 and 6K Congratulations Dorothy!!!!

As a young girl, I was in the corps de ballet of an obscure company in Chicago that performed the fan dance "en pointe." Today I'm proud to be a regular at the Pilates Center, where I specialize in showing off just how limber I am—while all are waiting (hoping) for one of my legs to get stretched so far that it just falls off!

I spend most of the day in front of a computer. When I began to take fitness seriously a few years ago, I started Pilates to strengthen my abs and began running mostly for the endorphins. The two activities complement each other beautifully. In addition to a strong core, Pilates counteracts the side effects of running, keeping my muscles long and flexible. It also gave me the confidence to complete my first marathon, with a smile. Special thanks to the great instructors at the Pilates Center: Leigh and Noel in the private lessons and Leslie in the mat class for all their help and support! — Dianne M. |
